I was simply plain elated when India won the match against Pakistan on Saturday. Especially when we win against our 'neighbours' its a different kick all together. Anyways, just when I was veiwing the score card on the net which mentioned in super bold letters that India has won, my colleague came by and I expressed my joy to him. It took him exactly 17secs to wipe the cheery smile off my face.
When I told him India won; he replied 'match-fixing! Aur kya?' I din't know what to tell him. I was so intimidated by that statement. This signifies the fact that one revelation can have such a long-standing effect on peoples' minds. I remember one more instance in which India had won the match again against Pakistan and the reporters got hold of Ganguly at the airport on his way home after victory. And this wise reporter comes up with a super wise question whether match fixing could be the reason for the win. And Ganguly looks at him for 1 whole minute. And then all he could say was 'Arre, isko koi leke jao yaar'. Really no kidding this all was shown on Aaj Tak news.
Everything has phases. Nothing lasts forever. Match-fixing was a phase too. I think its high-time that people start to watch the match without prejudices.
So, when we win today, its not match-fixing. Its the result of the sweat & blood of our players. :)

u r so positive!! *thumbs up* but seriously beyond the 4th pakistani wicket even i thought it was all fixed. you should have seen the silly catches that some of the pakistani players got out with. and i think INZI just over-did it with his reaction. somehow i wasnt convinced a team with the fighting spirit like Pakistan would let go so easily, and that too off India! you know there have been times when pakistan has had 50 odd runs to score out of the last five overs, with only the last wicket at hand, and yet they have managed to bring it down to one ball - one run situations. they really are so determined, its amazing. today was just not convincing. you should see the number of cacthes todays match had, its astounding! u would really have to be paid to play that bad.
i'm almost sure the next two matches will ne a pakistan win, and then lets see, if what we are contesting is right!
Really speaking I did not get to watch the match. All I got to see was the score. But you have to admit that we have done fantastic bowling & we have got great bowlers at the moment. Even Dhoni batted well & Sehwag is 'the dude'. Pressure does not get to him. He plays in his own masti. He batted well too - 74 runs i guess in 40 balls.
Pakis right now do not have the right attitude. Most of the players from their team have left & Inzi is left with all the bacha party. So, his morale is definitely low. And besides their fitness is at the all-time low.I am not sure of this info but i heard that Razzaq again got cramps & he had to get a runner.
I really wanted to watch the match but I think that India right now is having a good mix. We can really make the most of it right now.
